"The soundtrack" will be a recurring post, dedicated to capturing those rare songs I come across that get lodged in my brain or burned into my memory, for the RIGHT reasons (i.e. I can return to them once they've become "unstuck" and still respect them a great deal). These are songs that, for some period of time, have captured my thoughts and driven me to keep coming back for one more listen. Note that these aren't strictly the best songs I've come across, but they are the best that have the property of being supremely "sticky", at least to me - the kind of song I'd put on my life's soundtrack. Hopefully some of you can share in the kind of effect they've had on me.
Since this is my first post, I'm going to start out with not one or two, but a handful of songs that would have made "the soundtrack" had it been around when I was first exposed to them (which was fairly recently).
